Evaluating Tuberculosis Preventative Treatment in People Living with HIV
Tuberculosis causes one-fourth of all deaths in people living with HIV worldwide. To reduce this health threat, the CDC Foundation worked with partners to evaluate the widespread use of a treatment that prevents the infection from progressing. The data gathered through several international partnerships will determine the treatment’s global potential.
Expanding the Fight Against Veteran Suicide
Responding to the high rate of suicide among veterans, the CDC Foundation collaborated with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to strengthen the upstream suicide prevention programs of veteran serving organizations (VSOs). Through the Veteran Suicide Prevention Evaluation program, we’ve assisted 23 VSOs in developing evaluation projects to enhance their impact and launched a toolkit to provide VSOs nationwide with essential evaluation resources to help save more lives.
