Davis, CA, Offers Resources—Including a Blueprint—to Help Other Communities Improve COVID-19 Response Success

Like most communities, the COVID-19 pandemic has been challenging for Davis, CA. But, importantly, the community worked collaboratively through the Healthy Davis Together project to address these challenges. And the community, including the University of California-Davis, Davis city officials, and community partners, has learned a lot through the project, which has applicability beyond the city limits of Davis.

To share what they have learned and help other communities avoid some of the challenges Davis had to overcome, the partners behind Healthy Davis Together recently began highlighting best practices and takeaways so other communities can review and utilize their work.

Each details what Healthy Davis Together did, offers step-by-step guidance, and shares examples like creative and messages used.

The CDC Foundation is pleased to have joined with the work of Healthy Davis Together, providing support for communications and media—essential elements in getting the word out to the community.
